Garbage Pickup

In the Village of Oyster Bay Cove, garbage is picked up by Winter's Brothers.  Winters Brothers will collect garbage three (3) days per week.  All collections shall be made between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Tuesday and Friday Pickups by Street

Special Pickup-Additional Fee

The garbage contract with Winter's Brothers does not include the pickup of bulk items, construction debris, excessive landscape debris, etc.   It is the responsiblity  of the homeowner to  schedule a special pick up (not household garbage) and pay an additional fee directly to  Winters Brothers.  Contact Winters Brothers customer service at (516) 937-0700 and use the promo code "Oyster Bay Cove"  for additional discounts.

Recycling

Of the (3) collections per week, one collection per week will be limited to the collection of recyclables (ie: paper, plastic).  Recycling is on Wednesday for all areas.  Recycling is not picked up during the week of a holiday.

The calendar divides weeks of the year into “A weeks” and “B weeks.”

On Wednesdays of an “A week”:  Residents should place Newspaper & Cardboard in their recycling containers for collection of recyclables on Wednesday. 

On Wednesdays of a “B week”:  Residents should place plastic containers, tin cans and aluminum cans in their recycling container for collection of these recyclables on Wednesday.

Note Glass bottles and plastic bags are not recyclable.

Collection Holiday Schedule

No collection will be made on a legally recognized holiday.  In the event any scheduled pickup day is a legally recognized holiday, the pickup shall be done on the next succeeding business day.
