The Village Office is opened to the public Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.
The Village Clerk / Treasurer is an officer of the Village, appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Trustees, with a two year term of office.
The Clerk/Treasurer is designated the Records Management Officer, Election Officer, Financial Officer and Human Resource Officer.The Clerk / Treasurer prepares the tax bills using the Nassau County taxable assessed values and the Village tax levy, and serves as the Tax Collector. The Clerk/Treasurer also maintains and updates the website as well as prepares all Civil Service and NY State mandated filings.
The Deputy Village Clerk/Treasurer assists the Village clerk. Her duties include processing checks, receipting payments, issuing all beach related permits, preparing bi-weekly payroll, ordering supplies and responding to phone calls and emails from residents, tax inquiries and complaints etc.
