Village Office

The Village Office is opened to the public Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.

The Village Clerk / Treasurer is an officer of the Village, appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Trustees, with a two year term of office.

The Clerk/Treasurer is designated the Records Management Officer, Election Officer, Financial Officer  and Human Resource Officer.The Clerk / Treasurer prepares the  tax bills  using the Nassau County taxable assessed values and the Village tax levy, and serves as the Tax Collector.   The Clerk/Treasurers duties include preparing  the monthly financial statements, warrant, and the agenda for the BOT meeting.  The Clerk also   maintains  and update  the website, as well as prepares  all Civil Service, NY State and Federal mandated filings and grants.  

The Deputy Village Clerk/Treasurer assists the Village clerk.  Her duties include processing checks, receipting payments, issuing all beach related permits, preparing bi-weekly payroll, ordering supplies and responding to  phone calls and emails from residents, tax inquiries and complaints etc.
