Clean Energy Community

The Village of Oyster Bay Cove is a designated NYSERDA Clean Energy Community.  Local governments in New York State can use the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority's (NYSERDA) Clean Energy Communities program to implement clean energy actions, save energy costs, create jobs, and improve the environment.

The Village of Oyster Bay Cove  has become a Clean Energy Community and received a $50,000 Grant that was used to purchase Energy Efficient LED Street Lights in the Village.  In addition, the Village has adopted the Unified Solar Permit Application, our Building Inspectors have attended Energy Code Enforcement Training and  the Village is committed to Benchmarking and maintaining energy records of the Oyster Bay Cove Police Building. Measuring and sharing data on building energy use will help identify opportunities to cut energy waste and will allow our residents to compare our year-over-year energy usage and GHG emissions.

The Village is committed to be a Clean Energy Community and continue to implement clean energy actions which will save energy costs and improve the environment.
