April 13, 2021-Auto Thefts

Dear Residents,
The Police have informed us that in the past week, there were two cars stolen in Old Brookville and one auto stolen in Muttontown. Similarly to last year when these crimes were committed, all of the vehicles were unlocked and the key fobs were in the car. All three autos were recovered in Newark, New Jersey. However, the thieves have not been apprehended.
These are crimes of opportunity that can be prevented by locking your cars and removing your key fobs and valuables . Please be vigilant and if you see anything suspicious, call 911 so that the Police can respond.
