September 22, 2019, Sunday - Ocean to Sound Relay

The Greater Long Island Jones Beach to Long Island Sound Relay Race is scheduled to take place on Sunday September 22, 2019. Residents should be aware that this year's course does not go on any local streets within the Village; however, runners will be travelling westbound on Route 25A (Northern Blvd.). It is expected that most runners will be in our area between 11am-2pm. At that time the runners will be approximately 40 miles into a 50 mile race and should be sufficiently spread out to have minimal effect on traffic. Motorists should use caution if travelling on Route 25A during that time period and our Village Police will be out monitoring the situation.
