Recent Auto Thefts

Dear Residents,

I am writing you with some recent information provided to me from our Police Chief. Over the course of the last two weeks there has been a dramatic increase  in criminal activity throughout the North Shore of Nassau County with regards to larcenies of items from vehicles parked in driveways and thefts of the vehicles themselves.  I’m urging all residents to please remove all valuables from your parked cars, keep doors locked and never leave key fobs or keys in your parked autos. Any suspicious persons or activity should be reported to 911 immediately so our Police can respond .  The  Oyster Bay Cove Police in conjunction with neighboring Village and County Departments are working diligently to stop and apprehend those responsible.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay positive.  Better days are right around the corner.

Sincerely,

Charles Goulding
Mayor
