Letter From Nassau County Police Commissioner-Phone Scams

The Village has recently received the following letter from Nassau County Police Commissioner Ryder concerning phone scams being committed against elderly Nassau County residents. Seniors are receiving calls that a relative is hurt or arrested and needs money. Never provide personal, financial, bank or credit card information to strangers over the phone. If you receive one of these calls, please contact the Oyster Bay Cove Police Department immediately by dialing 911 as they are working in conjunction with the Detective Division of the Nassau County Police Department.
